If you're interested in learning about a new business model that promotes productivity from the core of the company through its employees, we invite you on Friday, January 26th, from 9:30 to 12:30 at the M Auditoriums of the ITESO Campus, where we will analyze Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP), challenges, and opportunities in Mexico. This will be approached from a contemporary and international perspective of business and academic experiences.

This event takes place within the framework of an international cooperation project involving the European Union, Peru, and Mexico, as well as the collaboration of academic and business teams. The overarching purpose of this Triangular Cooperation program called ADELANTE 2 is to promote international initiatives that contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals globally, primarily SDG 1 - Poverty Reduction, SDG 8 - Decent Work, and SDG 10 - Reduced Inequalities.

To achieve this, a significant alliance was formed between ITESO, Jesuit University of Guadalajara, the Business Council of Jalisco (CEMJAL), the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, the University of Aix Marseille, the ESSCA School of Management in France, the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, the Institute for Economic Democracy in Slovenia, and the ADELANTE 2 Triangular Cooperation program of the EU.

Economic democracy helps companies attract and retain talent, leading to increased productivity, loyalty, and commitment from employees. By involving workers in the company's capital, they become drivers of growth and value creation from within. With the expertise and voices of academics and entrepreneurs, we propose identifying the challenges and opportunities of introducing a model for Mexico (MexESOP), involving conceptual and legal structures based on experiences and knowledge in the eurESOP model. We propose exploring together how to contribute to the construction of a more just and participatory economy.
